The wonderful thing about being a professional musician is that if one chooses, family really can come first. When you are your own boss, you control your own calendar, and all the big events in life --- graduations, school programs, family vacations --- can be on the calendar first, before work. We support one another in our work, and in our play. Well, okay, it's mostly play.
